Meet Dennis!

He was born and raised in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands. At 15, he started working after schools at Aero Noord flight school, located at Hoogeveen Airport (EHHO). A few tasks of his job were to clean and refuel aircraft, prepare the texts for aerial advertising and helping pilots and guests.

When he finished his education to become an IT-manager, he worked a few years for a company as an IT-consultant doing mainly system management, maintenance and consultancy by several small companies.

In his free time, still worked at the flight school and also for the airport as fire crew. Later this was expanded to work a few weekend days per month as Airport Authority, to give arriving/departing aircraft the relevant airport information.

When he was 20, he started the training to become a private pilot, finished in 2013.
In the years after he flew all kind of aircraft throughout the whole of Europe, several formation flights, ferry-flights and started dropping skydivers.

Since 2017 he started working full-time as Airport Authority at Teuge Airport. Next to it, he still worked for the flight school at Hoogeveen and also as Safety Manager for the Part-SPO operations. Since 2022 started as CAMO Engineer at Aircraft Maintenance Netherlands and worked his way up to Continuing Airworthiness Manager in 2024. Next to this, he is also restoring aircraft for EVW Maintenance.
In his spare time he is involved as Chief Pilot, flying, maintaining and restoring vintage aircraft at Egmond Vintage Wings.

He completed more than 2600 flight hours in all kind of aircraft.

Dennis’ now working on the Class Rating Instructor course and finishing the ATPL theoretical exams, to start the practical part afterwards and finish the frozen ATPL (ATPL theory, CPL, ME, IR).
